The Central American Coffee producing countries are Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador and, though not strictly a Central American country, Mexico. The coffees from these areas are generally seen as having a light, bright, clean taste, though richer, more full-bodied tastes can be found too. The fantastic growing conditions found in the Central American mountain ranges, volcanic soil and range of micro-climates mean that this region reliably produces some of the world’s best coffees. This is also why Central American coffees are such an important part of the coffees we offer.

One of the best growing regions in Costa Rica, many of the coffees grown here feature highly amongst the winners in the Cup of Excellence auctions. This is likely due to the traceability of this coffee so that quality can be better controlled.

This is a beautiful speciality Costa Rican coffee bean, carefully roasted at Iron & Fire to bring out its nutty flavour with beautiful mandarin orange notes. It is a versatile bean and works well through all espresso based drinks. It is nice as a long black and with milk.
