South America is the world’s largest producer of coffee and for good reason: not only does the region have perfect conditions but the size of the areas in which coffee is farmed means there is more opportunity to find subtle regional variations in flavour profiles. The main producing countries here are Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela. Brazilian and Colombian coffees are generally well known for sweet and often fruity complex tastes which make them among our personal favourites..
