Help families in coffee communities gain access to clean water
For every friend you refer to Iron and Fire, we’ll add to our fund for Project Waterfall – whose key aim is to bring clean water to the coffee-growing communities around the world.
Growing coffee is incredibly water-intensive. To make a 750ml pot of coffee, 840 litres of water is needed to grow the crops. This can leave coffee farming communities with a water shortage for their own drinking and cleaning supply.
Access to clean water can completely change a community. Girls can go to school, women can start their own businesses, and mortality rates drop. Since 2011, Project Waterfall has helped over 50,000 people gain access to clean water and sanitation across Africa.
