This month, we’ve selected a true origin classic: Ethiopian Sidamo

Grown in the highlands of Southern Ethiopia at elevations of 1,500–2,200 metres, this coffee benefits from rich volcanic soils and the combination of ample rainfall, warm days, and cool nights which allows the cherries to mature slowly, developing layered sweetness and vibrant acidity. This coffee is cultivated as “garden coffee” by smallholder farmers, who grow coffee alongside other crops on family plots. Fully washed, it offers exceptional clarity and a clean, refined profile.

In the cup, expect bright citrus acidity, followed by notes of sweet stone fruits including apricot and plum. It’s lively, elegant, and beautifully expressive.

We’ve roasted this coffee light to medium to highlight its natural brightness and complexity. It truly shines as a filter brew, but also makes a vibrant, nuanced espresso.
